The best Christmas songs to listen to this year
Top 10 Christmas Christmas Songs of the Season

‘Tis the season to listen to your favorite holiday music! Whether you listen to the radio, or a music source like Sirius XM or Spotify, it is nice to kick back and get in the mood for the holidays with holiday music. Here are my favorite top ten Christmas songs:

10: Sleigh Ride – The Ronettes (1963)

The Ronettes were an American group from New York City.

I give it a personal 9/10, This song is always a classic and I can listen to it quite a few times.

9: Underneath the Tree – Kelly Clarkson (2013)

This song is widely played and once gave  Mariah Carey a run for her money. This song came from Kelly Clarkson’s sixth album “Wrapped in Red”

I give this an 8/10, I love this song the lyrics and beat are great and I will always sing along.

8: Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! – Andy Williams (1965)

This song came from Williams’s album “Merry Christmas” which charted for 6 seasons in a row.

I give this a 6/10, It’s a good song, but not my personal favorite.

7: It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year – Andy Williams (1963)

This song was introduced in the Christmas episode of “The Andy Williams Show”

I give this a 9/10, this song is always a classic and I can listen to it a couple of times before getting tired.

6: Jingle Bell Rock – by Bobby Helms (1957)

After its release in 1957, this song has received frequent play in the USA.

I give this a 7/10, it’s a solid song with catchy lyrics that get stuck in your head.

5: It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas – Michael Bublé (2011)

This song was originally written by Meredith Willson in 1951 and Bublé put it as the first track on his “Christmas” album. This song peaked at number 6 in 2022.

I give this an 8/10, good lyrics, I’ll listen to it and it’s Michael Bublé so he gets extra points.

  1. Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree – Brenda Lee (1958)

This song was written by Johnny Marks and recorded by Brenda Lee in 1958 when she was 13 years old.

I give this a 9.5/10, I love this song and have listened to this on repeat before. It always surprises me that Lee was so young when she sang this.

3: Santa Tell Me – Ariana Grande (2014)

This is one of the most popular Christmas pop songs and it has charted ever since it’s released.

I give this a 5/10, it’s a good song but Ariana Grande is just not an artist that I personally enjoy.

  1. Last Christmas – Wham! (1986)

This song is one of the most well-known Christmas songs, it’s catchy and the lyrics were written in George Michael’s childhood bedroom.

I give this a 10/10,  this song is definitely in my top 3 Christmas songs and admittedly I have listened to it in every other season. It’s an all-year song for me.

  1. All I Want for Christmas Is You – Mariah Carey (1994)

Let’s be honest, nobody is surprised. This song is played every year til January at the very least starting in November, this song is a store worker’s worst nightmare. It has become a joke online that as soon as Halloween ends, Mariah Carey “defrosts” and gets her paycheck for the year.

Of course, I give this a 10.5/10, it’s always a good one no matter how overplayed it may be.
